Students ages 8-10 work with their guardians to discover STEM careers and get hands-on with Fermilab science. Each class is themed to highlight physics, life science, or engineering. Additionally, each class features unique activities and opportunities for participants.
Program activities
- Participants meet with a Fermilab expert.
- Participants get hands-on with science experiments.
- Participants experience the engineering design process through make and take-home activities.
Program details
- Guardians are expected to stay for the duration of the program and to assist their students in the activities.
- All program materials and supplies are provided for each student.
- All classes take place at Lederman Science Center. The center is open to the public, and program participants are welcome to enjoy the exhibits before or after their program during the center’s open hours.
- All participants 18 years of age and older will be required to show a REAL ID-compliant document, such as a passport or enhanced driver’s license, before they are granted access to the site. Learn more about site access guidelines here.
