Visualizing STEM

Students ages 11-14 spend four days getting hands-on with physics through MakerSpace projects inspired by science.

Program activities

  • Go on guide tours of Lederman Science Center exhibits.
  • Build a paper roller coaster.
  • Go on a driving tour of the Fermilab campus.
  • Collaborate on a Gelli printing project inspired by particle physics.

Program details

  •  All program materials and supplies are provided for each student.
  • Guardians are expected to drop off and pick up their students from the program promptly at the start and end of each class.
  • All classes take place at Lederman Science Center. The center is open to the public, and program participants are welcome to enjoy the exhibits before or after their program during the center’s open hours.
  • All visitors 18 years of age and older will be required to show a REAL ID-compliant document, such as a passport or enhanced driver’s license, before they are granted access to the site. Learn more about site access guidelines here.

The Center is closed Thursday, November 28th and Friday, November 29th for the lab holiday. Our hours will resume on Saturday, November 30th.
