Phriendly Physics: Science and Engineering K-2 teacher workshop

Learn how to integrate science and engineering into your K–2 classroom by incorporating the scientific method and the engineering design process.

About the teacher workshop

Teach your students how to think like scientists and engineers by investigating forces and motion, light and color, matter and its interactions, and electricity and magnetism. All of the activities from the workshop can be done in the classroom, many with inexpensive and/or household materials.

“The instructor modeled ways to encourage flexible thinking among students and ways to deepen and enrich the way I teach science.”

“I really enjoyed the discussion on the Next Generation Science Standards and the instructor’s focus on implementing them.”

This workshop is presented in partnership with University of St. Francis.

Participants may choose to enroll in the workshop for graduate credit through University of St. Francis.  This course is offered at one graduate credit available from the University of St. Francis for an additional $100.
