Beauty and Charm – Introduction to Particle Physics teacher workshop

Beauty and Charm is an engaging and exciting exploratory physical science program in which teachers learn how scientists work, and how people can observe things they can’t see. Activities introduce your students to the world of particle physics and to the concept of science as a process of constant, ongoing learning. Participants will also receive materials for classroom activities. Earn PDH and graduate credit hours through the University of St. Francis.

About the teacher workshop

Experience the Beauty and Charm curriculum as your students will! Master teachers lead the activities in the latest edition of the Beauty and Charm manual and provide insight from their experience with students. Participants will also participate in a student field trip and a special driving tour of Fermilab.

“Instructors are very knowledgeable and professional, extremely organized, and offered students many helpful suggestions; this is the BEST staff development class I have taken in 25 years of instructions.”

“I can’t speak highly enough about this program or Fermilab. I will continue to stay involved with Fermilab and/or its resources as much as possible, and spread the word to anyone and everyone who will listen!”

This workshop is presented in partnership with University of St. Francis.

Participants may choose to enroll in the workshop for graduate credit through University of St. Francis.  This course is offered at three graduate credits available from the University of St. Francis for an additional $300.

Registration and additional information will be posted soon.
